This question is asked by our patients several times a day
The answer is embarrassingly that we have as much idea as you but we will attempt below to bring some basic guidelines as this process evolves.
It is chaotic at present with everyone trying to be nice and 15 different organisations from your medical aid to your chemist to your GP wants to help – no one really has a clue of where we going with this. One thing is important that the cold chain must be maintained and if we are going to administer the Pfizer vaccine, many places including us would have to purchase a special fridge. That may be a limiting factor for many sites.
We have offered our services as we feel very strongly that this is an important task to undertake on our patient’s behalf. No feedback has yet been received about this.
